20170626 Ownbey

Dear SS Family,

sent the prayer request (found below) on Fri night, but i didn't open emails till yest'y.  At that time, i was using my phone and couldn't access our entire class mailing list, so i'm sending it now (after announcing it in SS this morning).  We are indeed keeping her in our prayers and wishing her the best.

Speaking of which... DONNA SAVELL wasn't in class today.  DENNIS didn't say anything during class, but i learned afterward that she's home, taking antibiotics for some sort of infection -- feeling a little bit better today -- so we wish HER well.

Forgot to say in the earlier email that FRANK CULBRETH was able to come to SS last week  :-)    He said that PAT is NOT doing too well. Same for LOU BLEDSOE, saying that MARTHA was having mobility issues.  We send our love to them, as well.

Other members we've been missing and we send our love to include... ARLYENE ARMSTRONG and ANNE BUKER.

Some GOOD news:  MARIE PEARCE is recuperating from her hip replacement surgery -- still at Asbury, but hoping to return to her "place" later this week.  She said there is still a bit of pain, but nothing like before!
We were pleased that CHARLES (CHIP) BILLINGS was able to join us today.  Sounds like he MIGHT be interested in officially joining our class -- we used to have his name on our hand-written list, since he would "drop in" from time to time when his class wasn't meeting.  [for you "Genesis folk"... Chip's mom and step-dad, CAROL and BILL NEEDY, were Ownbey members for many years]

Next Sunday, we'll meet in Francis Chapel for church-wide class to hear Cambodian missionary Sam Om. Then on July 9th, MARY KATHERINE VASS will lead our class, back in our usual room.

Peace, Reatha - Sun - 11:30am
